Charmaine qualified as a physiotherapist in 2015 from St George’s University, in the UK, having previously completed a degree in Sports Therapy at the University of Kent in 2010. She also works in the NHS as an outpatient Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and has recently joined the women’s health team physiotherapy team.
Charmaine is a forward thinking physiotherapist applying the latest up to date research to her clinical practice.
In addition, Charmaine is experienced in massage whether that is massages for treating pain and specific conditions or massages for relaxation and stress relief. She is extremely patient focussed and prides herself on using hands-on-treatment in combination with specific tailor made exercise and advice.
She has excellent knowledge in managing and treating a range of Musculoskeletal impairments, dysfunctions or injuries. Charmaine is skilled in communicating advice and education that leads lead to enhanced patient satisfaction and better outcomes.
Another area of physiotherapy commonly overlooked is women’s health. Charmaine works with all adult women (+18 years) who experience stress urinary incontinence, urge urinary incontinence or both. This included bladder retraining, pelvic floor muscle training and education, pelvic girdle pain in before, during and after pregnancy.
Charmaine is passionate about her work and takes pride in connecting with her patients as they embark on their healing journeys.
